Reaching the Weary and Wounded

Today school was canceled for the new presidents inauguration so instead of going to schools we went to an hospital.
Most of us were really hesitant and didn't want to go.
My main reason was I pass out at a drop of blood, and I really didn't want to pass out in a random Filipino hospital!
But God is bigger than my queasiness.
It ended up being the most incredible experience.
I had the great honor of preaching to new mothers whose babies were premature and might not survive, to small children and to many others.
I met a nineteen year old girl who spoke english and just cried through the whole gospel message. Her mother explained to me that it touched her to hear about Jesus, and that her father had left when she was 2 months old and she had never met him. I was able to tell this sweet girl that she had a new father who would never leave her. She just cried some more and we prayed. I will never see her again on this earth, but I do know I will see her in heaven.
What an awesome thought.
God is moving in a big way in the Philippines and he is faithful to His people.
What a mighty God we serve.

I made it ALIVE.

Today was our first day out in the Philippines.
We got to our hotel at four in the morning, took showers, had breakfast at five and immediately went preaching.
It is great to be back but so tiring.
We are in a new town so half the day our Filipino pastors spent getting lost and getting out of ditches.
But so far everything is great here, even the hotel bed isn't too bad :)
Hope everything in America is running smoothly!

Until the next time I get WIFI, bye friends.

Hi Friends!
I am currently shopping for Philippines clothing. Which is harder than it sounds. I am on a hunt for knee length skirts that happen to be out of date and not in stores. Fabulous. I feel like amish people have access to these but other than them, no one else does. Sad day. I also feel like blogging is a weird thing to do. So I'm not exactly sure how it goes. But I guess I will have to learn in the next few weeks. I hope you enjoy learning about my adventures abroad.
